Background
In November 2013 Paul Cuttle retired from An Garda Siochana, at the rank of Inspector, after over 31 years of service. He was the Emergency Management Officer for Roscommon and Longford Counties and was an active member of the Western Region Emergency Management Working Group and the Midlands Region Emergency Management Working Group covering counties Galway, Mayo, Roscommon, Longford, Westmeath, Laois and Offaly from 2008 until his retirement.

During his service in An Garda Siochana, he received training and qualification in many fields relating to emergency and crisis management including
